When I was in high school the first one of my friends to get their license got a hand me down XJ Country edition. Think this but without those wheels.
Have so many memories in that Jeep, it was basically our personal ferry around everywhere for a few months until everybody got their license and a car. Had a chance to see him while I was home for the holidays and he mentioned that after his Miata comes back from the shop he’s planning on selling the Jeep. Thing is pretty clean, 4.0, 4x4, automatic, 15x,xxx mileage, and the topper is he’s asking what I consider a damn good price. If this actually happens not only will I be getting a good daily for a good price but a little bit of memorabilia from days past.

I learned how to drive in a red ‘90 XJ limited with gold basket wheels. Good times.

XJ’s are awesome! The best part is they completely embarrass stock and (poorly) modified Wranglers off-road too

What’s the price? They’re super easy to fix/repair. Everything is on YouTube already. Parts are cheap. It’s just they ride like shit because solid axles... ours is the winter mobile here in Colorado

Wasn’t aware of this, wouldn’t think it looking at the two.

2k. I already own a Mustang so I have plenty of experience with solid axles lol. Sounds like the aftermarket is about the same as the Mustang as well.

Time constraints mostly. He lives a couple states away and my semester starts soon, so finding time to fly there and roadtrip back would be tough.

Yeah the slightly longer wheelbase makes it climb better and depending on the year it has better articulation too

We do tough things for the ones we love.

Hmmm interesting. It would be a daily primarily but I love going out into the desert so it would get some work that way.

Time is the bigger factor here, my semester starts soon and the car is a couple states away, gonna be hard to find time to fly there, pick it up, and roadtrip back.
